The Plague Paths are Fading Now

Walking across lawns, pitches and along hedgegrows to avoid people, folk went where they normally never walked, due to COVID. This was to get excercise, get out, but not be at or to cause risk. The paths, and our patterns, are fading now.

The plague paths are fading now
That were worn by feet
Of folk who sought to avoid
The people that they would meet…

We have gone back to our ways before…
Newly grown now the fresh dark green grass
Where feet before beat a track for each
So that close they would not pass…

Strange times, that are far from over,
No matter how the plague paths fade…
We live in hope, and hope to live
In times when of plague we are not afraid.
