“If we dig precious things from the land, we will invite disaster.”
The Keystone XL pipeline is just one of quite a few projects set to cut accross sacred lands of the Native Americans. A cut in one of them will flood and destroy the Native territories, alternative routes have been dismissed, and the situation has been seen as a coming true of the Black Snake prophecy common to Native American cultures from the Hopi to the Mohawk and the Sioux.
“The demolition is devastating,” Archambault told the AP. “These grounds are the resting places of our ancestors. The ancient cairns and stone prayer rings there cannot be replaced. In one day, our sacred land has been turned into hollow ground.”
“And this is the Ninth and Last Sign: You will hear of a dwelling-place in the heavens, above the earth, that shall fall with a great crash. It will appear as a blue star. Very soon after this, the ceremonies of my people will cease.
~ Hopi Prophecy
Eastwards the Black Snake shall come
From where the sun sets in the West
Twin headed it will kill all
Its destiny manifest.
But the warriors can defeat it
Though not with arrows of old
But of peoples divided uniting
They by their elders are told.
Their ancestors graves are being desecrated
From hallowed to hollow ground are being made
The Chinese Space Station careers to earth out of control
The signs make the Sign Readers afraid.
It has been spoken of in the past
They have dawns, those long ago spoken of times
Should men not fight for the Earth again
Earth shall fall victim to Corporations crimes.
