As I pay, I look on their faces
And I wonder, are they proud
Now that they are acknowledged with
The respect in life so often not allowed?
And as I eat I wonder will
On some far off distant day
My picture, name and words shall be

Modern Venus

She sits there, a modern Venus
The seashell thrown to the tossing seas
And to the viewer she is enticing
And see seeks to seduce and tease
And this modern Venus is waiting
It seems for a man
Eyes closed, as if she is dreaming
Imagining if she can
She is running through a field of flowers
As when young, without a care [...]
In Times Passing, Feelings Have Faded
In times passing feelings have faded,
That I never allowed as love to be
For I, the fool, maybe as such I was to so feel
Thought one like you would never love one like me.
But in a cavern deep in my heart,
A fire warm for you does burn,
And on thinking of the beauty of your smile
The conflagation does return.
