Shed, Undrawn, Ballinamuck

I seek to draw a picture here
A shed, roof caving in,
Its gable end seen through the door
By the artist sitting within.
Gentle rain comes trickling down
To spite the beauty there I saw
With pencils and paper there in hand
And time – now shed can I draw!

Ive heard of creative block before
But it is of the written word:
A block to draw the scene before the very eye?
I the artist think absurd!
And so the paper I put away
To idle at something else in my little home
I will have to be content with a picture made
In words through this little poem.

Have your say...
