No Handshakes Offered at the Most Tragic Funerals

Dedicated to and in memory of those who killed themselves as they could not cope with austerity and banks taking their houses.

The dead to them unknown, they come, stand the living
So they will be remembered at election time, when folk their votes are giving
A affront to God and decency, for decency its mistaken
Blind to the fact its self promotion, opportunity taken.

But the suicides from austerity – the suits will not be seen
Free from false condolences there tragic events have been:
They will not show at the funerals or the wakes
As Ireland buried her children, dead through their mistakes.

Have your say...
