Galway Cathederal at dawn: the dusk of life that is death, is the dawn of the life beyond the veil…

For Liam O’ Roirdan of the Blackwater Poetry Group on the passing of his mother.
The group does a day of verse on the passing of a members loved one, and these are all too common. Nice to be able to give a bit of comfort to another through our writing. The first one of this genre I had written was “Breaching the Veil” ~ R.I.P. Josephine.

Walls speak in silence that echoed to words before
And will again as walls do, not to her words anymore
In your thoughts her words repeat as she again comes to mind
When you alone, or somewhere, or with something that does remind
You of times past, or people passed, memories held dear
It is a form of prayer of thanks to with wry smile shed a tear.

Have your say...
