I Believe

I Believe

“I believe in the sun even if it isn’t shining. I believe in love even when I am alone. I believe in God even when He is silent.”
– Anon

I believe in the sun when it is not shining
Behind the clouds, I know that it is there
And I know that’s its heat shall banish the cold winds
When the clouds have dissipated it shall shine where
Those neath it believe in it though they have not seen it
And they shall bask in its glow and its heat
And I shall be among them, though today it is raining
And I see the sun in every smile that I meet

I believe I do in love, when I am alone
And I hear no laugh, see no smiling face
When none are around me, and loneliness holds me
And I long for the non existent affectionate embrace
And embrace to hold me and tell me tomorrow
Beyond the tears and the fears is a way
And the love non existent in the here and the present
Shall be mine on the morrow and the break of the new day.

I believe in God… even when he is silent
And all is wrong with the world and my life
And trouble and grief steals my peace like a thief
And all that I know is but bother and strife.
My God he is listening, is watching, is guiding
And my God gives me the strength in my heart for to cope
For Gods greatest aid is the ability to be afraid,
And yet to keep going… and always have HOPE!

Have your say...
