JackSmithDedicated to Jack Smith (picture on the left) of Facebook, and his grandaughter Sophia.

Jacks post that inpired the poem:

Jack just finished giving granddaughter Sophia her first drawing lesson and rediscovered the pleasure of coloring outside the line....

Read and comment on the poem on his Facebook profile

Picasso said that he could draw
Like an adult from when young of age
A pencil in hand, as if a master
He could draw upon the page
But though art was in his heart...  Read more
It did not cause him joy
Until he found as a man
How to draw like a boy.

And today when we see Picasso
With his pictures colourful and wild
We look not at the youthful drawings like those of the masters
But those which are drawn like a child

A man, Jack Smith on Facebook
Theres some lines you never thought youd see in a poem
Was teaching drawing to a grandchild
I saw on the site when I clicked "Home"
And in her childish sketching
She showed him is WAS fine
And gave her grandfather the love of art
By colouring OUTSIDE the line!!!
