A Peoples Hero:
Xiao Ke was a Chinese hero, veteran of the Long March, and
opponent of the sending in of troops which resulted in the massacre of Tianamen
Square.

The common men will curse us
For ten thousand
years to come
And as a cursed generation
Our names will become
With
those words he opposed
Military intervention in Tianamen Square
But there
was no ears listening
Or eyes reading the wise words there.
And so they
sent the tanks in
And as Xiao Ke said
For ten thousand years they will be
cursed
By the common people, in memory of the dead..
